Shunning Disfellowshipped & Apostate family Members. Scriptural?

anyone who is a witness or was previously a witness, is aware of the written & un-written rules concerning association with disfellowshipped family members.. there are a multitude of quotes through out the watchtower publications, but these 2 will suffice.. "are you proving yourself holy by not associating with family members or others who are disfellowshipped?

"the clear instruction in the bible is: avoid them.

that means that we have to stay away from them... the bible says that apostates are mentally diseased and that they use their teachings to make others think like them... what must we do to avoid false teachers?

the books of matthew, mark, luke, john, and the beginning of acts are filled with what the authors purport are statements of jesus.

jesus is quoted as making several statements about "the kingdom of heaven" or "the kingdom of god".

those statements are often given as parables that start with a phrase something like "the kingdom of heaven is like...".

The Parable of the Hidden Treasure – Matthew 13:44

The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in the field, which a man found and hid; and from joy over it he goes and sells all he has, and buys that field.

A study of the Mt. 13 kingdom parables is a fascination study. The characters remain the same throughout the various parables. Jesus is the "man". The world is the field. The treasure is Israel which is in the world.

In order for Jesus to finally receive his throne in Israel, the one promised to him, he had to buy the whole world with everything he had... his life to get it. Once that was done, the kingdom existed in a mystery form in the hearts of believers.... a place not at first discernible, hidden in the "earth".

Later, when Jesus returns, the kingdom will be visible, tangible, in Israel with Jesus sitting on the throne of David.

During the church age, or since the days of the apostles, Christians teach a gospel of reconciliation. The gospel of the kingdom will be preached by Israel (144K male virgins) during the great tribulation after the church has be evacuated. It is an Israeli message, whereas the gospel of reconciliation is a directed to "whosoever".

sarah kellen has been described as jeffery epstein's 'lieutenant' for allegedly sourcing and booking girls for 'massages'.. kellen’s [jehovah's witness] parents said they knew almost nothing about what their daughter’s duties involved because they became estranged from her at around the time she took the job with epstein when she was aged 18 or 19.. the split with her family came after kellen was thrown out of the church for allegedly leading an “immoral” lifestyle:.

sarah’s parents told the daily mail they love her and would welcome her back as long as she rejoins the church and shows them she’s committed to the faith.. so, is she a victim or a sly fox?.

To JW Parents Lurking Here: DON'T BE STUPID. If you shun your teenage kids and deny them family and love, don't be surprised where they end up. There are many people waiting in line to pick up what you have discarded.

Anyone else here get shunned at an early age? How did that effect you?
